Welcome to ADBB Lotte ! And congratulations on your losses so far, in spite of not following the plan right to start You will read repetitively that you should Read The Book to get the plan right, and make this a lifelong WOL. At the very least, read the forums for the info.

      Welcome, Lotte!

That's right, no nuts on Induction. The majority of your carbs should come from vegetables.

Do you have a copy of the 2002 edition of Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution?

          Welcome to the Atkins Board.

Glad you found the board and are excited about starting the plan. First of all, Atkins is not a "diet" or a way to loose "a few pounds"...it's a way of eating over a lifetime. Eat only the foods on the acceptable food list and eat a variety of foods and vegetables. (Atkins Diet Induction FAQs) http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/77558-atkins-diet-induction-faqs.html.

A few tips to help get you started: Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water daily (nothing added), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin - these are mandatory with Atkins so start now and get off on the right foot. Also, start a journal, it's a great place to get everything out in the open, be accountable to yourself - you'll also meet some great people there! http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...journal-chats/

          Good luck to you!

Thank you for the nice links...and about Atkins not being a dietplan but a lifeplan I think it sounds alright, I have never eaten so much GOOD food in a week (ohh yes I have but it included a whole lot of bread too)AND loosing weight I´m stunned and now my neighbour is starting too!! (weight: 250lbs)
So its so great...my husband looks at my plate and shakes his head....Im eating better than he is now!!
But have a tiny problem with very tired muscles and a wee bit of headache...but according to Dr.A. it is a induction phenomen...am I right?

                  Re: New at the ADBB

Whole lot of bread is not exactly low carb. And definitly not Atkins. We follow the rules of induction for the first 2 weeks.
But I am happy to hear you are feeling good about what you are doing.
                  Ha det bra!!

I see - now that is making sense to me now
So is low carbing a common diet in Denmark?
