  • long way to go ..

Hi this is Amna, I am currently in my third week, lost 16 pounds but just realized that I wasn't really doing this by the book. So now I am on extended induction and will see how it goes.

      Welcome to ADBB!

Congratulations on the 16 lbs lost! Once you get Induction right, don't hesitate to move to OWL.

I hope you read the book so you know how to follow the plan correctly. Congrats on your success this far but as you've already read, as soon as you get through a clean induction move on to OWL and start adding food back to your daily meals. You'll need time to go through the rungs slowly to learn which foods bother you and which ones you'll be able to eat without problem.

A few more tips to help get you started: Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water daily (nothing added), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin - these are mandatory with Atkins so start now and get off on the right foot. Also, start a journal, it's a great place to get everything out in the open, be accountable to yourself - you'll also meet some great people there! http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...journal-chats/

To make sure you don’t become bored by eating the same thing over and over look at these wonderful recipe sites – we have such great choices for menu ideas, eat a variety of things:
