  • A Scot in England!

    Hello everyone.

I have been 'dieting' for a long time and have shifted 139 pounds. This figure amazes me; it has taken around 9 years to lose this much, and to maintain that loss.

I have been low carbing for a few years now but, four/five months ago, decided to commit to Atkins to shift the remaining 20 or so pounds.

I am vegetarian so this is not as easy as it might seem but since I eat dairy it's not too bad.

I was stalled for many weeks until the other day when I got on the scales (something I don't do that often, as I feel constant weighing can be counter-productive) to find that I had suddenly lost four pounds. Whee!

    Good luck to all x

I only weight once a month and on my doctor's scales...I find daily weighing has too big an effect on my motivation and mood...I know Im going in the right direction...

    Good luck!

      Welcome!

Since you are a vegetarian and don't have much weight to lose, you might want to start Atkins in OWL. That would allow for more variety in your menu, while still losing weight.

I've been low carbing for a long time. Have lost a total of 139 pounds, to my great joy. I am in OWL right now; didn't realise it stated otherwise on my site information lol.

I love Atkins, and low carbing in general. What a wonderful difference this way of eating has made to my life.

And we can all achieve our goals if we are patient and we stick to the rules (most of the time!).

This is the beauty of Atkins. It delivers.

          Just curious.
How do you do it as a vegetarian?
We have people dropping in and want to do a vegetarian version but I am not sure what I should tell them sometimes. Just wondered if you have some tips
