            Re: New story

Thank you for all your warm fuzzies!!
I have read the Book...about 10 years ago I lost about 120 pounds on Atkins. About 6 years ago I lost 50 pounds on Atkins. I was derailed when I was blessed with my litte girl 5 years ago . It was a rough pregnancy but worth it. I was pregnant with tripletts but only my daughter survived so she is my miricle baby I had a lot of complications an we are both happy to be her talking to you today. However, I fell of the WOL when we were short on money and had to resort to rice and beans and whatever was given to us. That was 5 years ago and I have been struggling ever since.

I am older (37) now with a lot of health problems one being chronic fatige. SO....I need more energy and the weight is not helping. I am happy to report that I have been taking a herbal reimene juicing a veggie drink that is helping tremediously with what ailes me. The downfall is I have an automatic deduction of 9 carbs everyday before I even get started... I can deal with that but if you have suggestions on the best way to use those last 11 carbs during induction I am open minded

I decided to start when my 5 year old daughter asked me how come I was not regular size. Then I took a 1/2 mile walk and amazed myself at doing it in 15 minutes. I haven't been able to do a lot since I have been so sick, but things are starting to click.

I can use all the feedback and encouragment since I have a big commitment and a lot to gain and more to lose

Hi and welcome back to Atkins --

What is in the veggie juice drink you have everyday? We stress eating not drinking carbs. Regardless of what you did before, or what you read other people are doing, your body is different than anyone so it’s best not to compare - just follow the plan the way it's written. Look around and find what interests you and join in. Check the STAC Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet for additional support.

I hope you already have the 2002 DANDR book and have read it, it is the edition we follow on this site. If not it's worth a few dollars to purchase. Drink a minimum of 64 ounces of pure water daily, exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin – these are mandatory when following Atkins.

Check this page for answers to a lot of your questions: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/77558-atkins-diet-induction-faqs.html. Make sure you are eating enough vegetables – Atkins isn’t just meat and cheese – vegetables are a huge part of your daily menu and is where most of your carbs should be coming from.

The recipe sites will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- check them out!

                  Re: New

                  Hi imagood1,
Thank you for welcoming me! Thank you for your consern. I am aware of the juice rule and that was my biggest fear in going back on Atkins. The juice is a very specific resipie for my body and medical issue. When I got off of the juicing I end up back in an aweful state of health, my body swells and such. The veggies work differently when juiced verses eaten whole. I am juicing to help keep my lupus under control along with a herbal regimine. Since I have no medical insurance I am unable to get any medical attention and this is the only thing that is working to give me back the health and energy to move on As to your question what is in the juice: 4 stalks asparagus, 6 stalks celery, 2 cups spinach, 1 cup parsely, and 1 medium carrot.

Thank you for all the different forums and advice about the book. I have read the book 2002 edition to make sure I do things right since it has been so long since the last time I used this WOL. I will be checking into those recipies and the second time around.
