    Welcome, Lisha!

Why do you have sweet stuff in your house? Throw it away or give it to someone else.

Lisha, this battle is one you have to do on your own. I would suggest that you eat a high fat snack shortly before bedtime, maybe some cheese or a deviled egg or a decaf with a nice dose of cream. That may help you stay asleep. But the bottom line is that you have to decide to make the choice not to eat things off plan. Make sure you cut back your water a couple of hours before bed so your bladder isn't part of what is waking you. And don't exercise in the evening, that cam make it harder to fall asleep. DO put in some good hard exercise in the morning and you will sleep sounder in the night time. If you do wake up at night, drink a glass of water then---sometimes are bodies say Feed Me when they really mean I need Hydration.

High fat snacks before bed might help... or if you wake up craving, try to make what you snack on high in fat. Olives, cheese...

          Welcome to the Atkins Board.

Glad you found the board and are excited about starting the plan. Make sure you read the book - it will give you the knowledge you need to get to your goal. If you can’t find a copy of the 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) locally check online at www.half.com or www.amazon.com. Eat only foods listed on the acceptable food list and eat a variety of foods and vegetables. (Atkins Diet Induction FAQs) http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/77558-atkins-diet-induction-faqs.html. If you want something salty eat a few olives or some no-sugar added pickles. If you stop eating sugar at the beginning you'll kill the sugar tooth and you'll have a much easier time - it sounds hard but after a couple days it's really not and you'll find how many everyday things are sweet tasting naturally.

Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water daily (nothing added), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin - these are mandatory with Atkins so start now and get off on the right foot. Also, start a journal, it's a great place to get everything out in the open, be accountable to yourself - you'll also meet some great people there! http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...journal-chats/

To make sure you don’t become bored by eating the same thing over and over look at these wonderful recipe sites – we have such great choices for menu ideas, eat a variety of things:
