I am new to the site and am currently on the induction period. I am from Baltimore, MD but currently reside in Washington state. I am prior Navy, just got out about a month ago and am now a full time student. Just wanted to introduce myself. Take care!

Re: Allow me to introduce myself
Hello, I just started last week myself and I am prior service as well, but I've been out about five years
and you can surely tell if you saw a pic. I actually started the Atkins diet for two reasons, one, for the lifestyle change, of course and two, I am actually trying to get back into the service and I need to drop a few pounds here and there.
Good luck to you and from what I've seen thus far, this message board is a great outlet for support.

Re: Allow me to introduce myself
Welcome to the Atkins Board.
Glad you found the board and are excited about starting the plan. Make sure you read the book - it will give you the knowledge you need to get to your goal. If you can’t find a copy of the 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) locally check online at www.half.com or www.amazon.com. Eat only foods listed on the acceptable food list and eat a variety of foods and vegetables. (Atkins Diet Induction FAQs) http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/77558-atkins-diet-induction-faqs.html.
A few more tips to help get you started: Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water daily (nothing added), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin - these are mandatory with Atkins so start now and get off on the right foot. Also, start a journal, it's a great place to get everything out in the open, be accountable to yourself - you'll also meet some great people there! http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...journal-chats/
To make sure you don’t become bored by eating the same thing over and over look at these wonderful recipe sites – we have such great choices for menu ideas, eat a variety of things:
