  • Starting again

Hello everyone, this is maybe my 100th time starting atkins and I'm hoping that this time I'll take it seriously and stick with it. The 1st time I followed Atkins I lost about 30lbs and actually got pg after several years of trying. Trying to get pg wasn't the reason for starting the diet but it was a nice side effect. Anyway. I've started a handful of times only to fall off the wagon the next day when I had my morning coffee. Artificial sweetners give me really bad headaches so I can't use them and I really love coffee so it's going to be tough to break that habit. This morning DH recorded mythe kids opening their x-mas gifts and when I caught a glimpse of myself I felt so embarrassed and hoped that no one would ever watch this.
I figured if I start posting on a regular basis and get to know some of the people here it will kind of help me stay on track.
    Please wish me luck.

Welcome! I, too, ended up getting pregnant after being on Atkins and getting healthier - and now I'm back to lose the baby weight AND get back on track to where I was headed before I got pregnant!

Have you tried stevia as a sweetner instead of artificial ones? It might work for you...

      Good luck!

        Welcome to the ADBB!

Having support is definitely a plus in helping to lose weight and this board is the best place on the web for information, inspiration and encouragement.

Do you have the 2002 edition of the Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution? It's the one we use here and it explains how and why the diet works the way it does so it's a must read.

        Good luck!!

                  Re: Starting again

Starting again. I weighed in at 301 this AM. My first goal will be 30lbs which will put me at 269 lds. I would eventually like to be 190 lbs and that seems real possible by July 2010. hope everyone will coach me how to do it without all them ugly old stretchmarks.

thanks for the help , TOO Big

Losing slowly can help with skin elasticity. So will toning exercises. However ... neither may do the trick 100%.

111 pounds in 7 months is pretty ambitious!
