  • Down 18- so time to join.....

    Hi all,

    I have been lurking for a bit on the boards and after being down almost 20 pounds decided to join and "kick" my atkins into high gear. I have not been as strict and really need accountable so figure joining would be the best way to do it.

    I am currently at 151 and my goal is 120. I started back in Oct and was 18 pounds heavier. I am going to be starting on induction tomorrow as I never really have done true straight atkins in the past. I have kind of just read, dabbled in it a bit. But just from dabbling have lost so I do want to give it 100% for sure.

    Anyways a bit more about me:

    I am a mom to four wonderful kids. I realized this is not the way to live my life depressed and feeling fat so I really want to give it my all and really get to my goal. I want to be to my goal before Mother's day. I think that is very reasonable.

    Thank you all for having me and I look forward to following everyone's journey and being a part of the boards.

    Ps... I do have the 2002 edition of the book and just started reading that as well.

      If you don't have a copy of the book it's a good idea to get one and read it so you know exactly what you're doing. We follow the 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) if you can't find a copy locally check online at www.half.com or www.amazon.com.

      Eat only foods listed on the acceptable food list and eat a variety of foods and vegetables. Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water, exercise and take a multivitamin daily.

      Plan your meals for a fews days so you have everything in your home and you won’t be tempted to eat something not allowed.
