    >>Bummer about the nuts! I>>

They're very often a trigger food ... and sometimes people have trouble with portion control.

A good reason not to have them on Induction.

Dr. Atkins explains in the book!

      Hi Jenny!!

I'm glad you've decided to join us and wish you much luck on your journey.
Plan your meals for a fews days so you have everything in your home and you won’t be tempted to eat something not allowed. Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin daily. The water will help keep cravings away, help flush out the toxins in your body and you'll feel better sooner! If you need to take a pain releaver - you don't have to suffer!!

Look at the challenges to see if there is anything that interests you - start a journal, it's a great place to get everything out in the open, be accountable to yourself - you'll also meet some great people there! http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...journal-chats/. There’s something for everyone here!

Check Linda's recipe site it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/menus.html . If you need anything we’re here to help you!!

Re: Hi, my name is Jenny and I am a carb addict!

Hi Jenny - it is nice to meet another Carb Addict. I read your first post and related alot to your journey. When I first started Atkins in Jan 2008, I weighed 204. Definitely an eye opener. I was on it until Aug of this past year and managed to get rid of 34 pounds. I am back and I am determined to get down into the 160s - can you imagine?
This time around, I had the same feeling of the truck smashing into my head in the form of a migraine. Be assured that these funky feelings will pass and serve to remind us that we are doing the right thing. Just wait until the energy hits you - it is a rush! I cleaned my entire basement and the rest of the house was immaculate! LOL

Stay encouraged and keep eating clean! It WILL all pay off! We can enjoy the journey together if you like - I need accountability..

Hi fellow Carb Addict! Thank you for your post. Congratulations on your journey! I can't wait to get there. The feeling of "being hit by a truck" was much better and pretty much gone by day five. Hang in there! Right now I am in week three. I definitely feel MUCH better, and the energy has started to kick in. I have been following this plan to a tee, however; I really thought I would have lost more weight by now. Oh well, what do ya do? Yesterday I started walk/jogging. I loved it! I do a slight jog for 30 sec. and then a fast paced walk for one minute. The entire walk/jog was 45 min./three miles! I did that yesterday and today. I am planning on doing this about five days a week. Surely this should jump start the weight loss! I am hoping to do a 5k with my sister in March. (I figured a goal would help keep up the motivation!) I would love to join this journey with you! We can post each evening and keep each other accountable. Good luck, and I will talk to you soon!
