  • hello from Germany

    Hi everyone,

    Tom thanks for the welcome.

Yesterday I started with Atkins. I have been on Atkins for 5 years now (Dr Atkins NEW Diet Revolution)t last year unfortunately I have been more on high carbs than on Low Carb. I gained 60 lbs that I want to lose till summer.

As you can see my English is far far away from perfect – I am a 37 years old German.
I hope you will understand what I write because it is very difficult for me to express myself in englisch.

This morning on my scale I weighed 240.2 lbs ( 109,2 kg ).

Thanks in advance for your support.

    Welcome to ADBB!

I hope losing 60 lbs by summer is a very flexible goal. As you know, there can be weeks or even months with no weight loss.

      hello georgiana,
yes I am aware of it and I will not be sad if I will not reach my goal by summer but a little bit later.

But you have to know I am a very disciplined person. On saturday I will go to the gym again ( after 1 and a half year ). I will do my cardio nearly every day.

        Welcome to the Atkins Board.

Glad you found the board and are excited about starting the plan.

Since you've followed the plan before you know this but just as a reminder: plan your meals for a fews days so you have everything in your home and you won’t be tempted to eat something not allowed. Drink a minimum 64 ounces (approximately 1.89 litre) of pure water (nothing added), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin daily.

Look at the challenges to see if there is anything that interests you - start a journal, it's a great place to get everything out in the open, be accountable to yourself - you'll also meet some great people there! http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...journal-chats/. Also the STAC (second time around club) http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/second-time-around-club/ is helpful with their daily check-ins.

        Good luck to you!
        Carole

          hello carole,

          thanks for your welcome.
I would like to start a journal but I think my english is too bad for this.
Meanwhile I read all your journals. It helps me to go ahead, all the successes motivate me very much.

Maybe if I start a journal it improves my english?

English is not my first language... but your English sounds fine to me.

Nope. I'm only studying in Germany.
