  • New Year, New Me!

    Hi Everyone!

    Happy New Year I'm not new to the Atkins WOL, this is my second time around. The first time I lost over 60 pounds and one cheat led to another, soon all the weight flew back on within 4 months.

    I was originally going to start January 2nd but decided not to put it off another day so tomorrow it is! This time one major thing I plan on doing along with staying on track is drinking a LOT of water. I'm lucky if I can get even one glass in a day.

    Water is critical.

    If you don't drink water, what do you drink?

      Thanks!

      I drink a LOT of coffee and tea, I know it's definately not good for me. Cutting back to one cup of coffee a day is going to be difficult for me but it's something I have to do.

      I'm going to try and drink a gallon of water a day =)

        Remember the rule of Induction ... 64 ounces MINIMUM.

        And nothing other than water counts as water.

        Many find success with drinking 1/2 their current weight in ounces of water.

          Welcome back! It sounds like you did really well the first time around, so I'm sure you can do it again, and keep it off this time!

            There is a water challenge that you might want to join because it helps to keep you focused on getting enough water everyday.

              Hi and welcome back to Atkins --

              Happy New Year and new you!! Good for you getting back on plan! This is a great place to be and you'll find all the support you want or need. If you haven't already I hope you read the 2002 DANDR book it's the edition we follow on this site. If not it's worth a few dollars to purchase – check www.half.com or www.amazon.com. Drink the minimum of pure water daily (if you want to oin the January water challenge click here: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...allenge-4.html), exercise and take a non-iron vitamin daily.


              There are so any different forums here there is something for just about everyone. Since you've done Atkins before you may enjoy the STAC (second time around club), they have a daily sign in that people enjoy Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet
