    Hi everybody, january 2nd is the day for me!!
    I have struggled with weight all of my life and tried many diets before but i always gained the weight back but hopefully this time it will be different. I've read about Atkin's diet and thought this is the diet for me.
    I'm 22 years old, don't smoke or drink but i do have a problem with caffein so i'm nervous about that particular point during my diet.
    I hope i don't screw up!!
    I haven't weighed myself yet ,going to do that soon!

      Welcome to the Atkins Board.

      Glad you found the board and are excited about starting the plan. Make sure you read the book - it will give you the knowledge you need to get to your goal. If you can’t find a copy of the 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) locally check online at www.half.com or www.amazon.com. Eat only foods listed on the acceptable food list and eat a variety of foods and vegetables.       Plan your meals for a fews days so you have everything in your home and you won’t be tempted to eat something not allowed. Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin daily. Look at the challenges to see if there is anything that interests you - start a journal, it's a great place to get everything out in the open, be accountable to yourself - you'll also meet some great people there! http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...journal-chats/.
