    ****-o everyonemy name is mollie and i just found this website. My b/f daughter is using atkins and i thought that i might give it a try. I lost my job about a year ago and since then i have put on some weight. I also have started school full time and now i do alot of setting and eating alot of junk food. Right now i weigh in at 185, and my goal is 135 or 140. At this time i don't really know alot about the atkins diet, but i am hopeing to get alot of good info. here. I have looked for the book, but haven't been able to find it yet. Anyway glad to have found the site and hopeing to meet alot of great people.

    If you can't find the book locally, you might try ordering it on line. Lots of places have inexpensive used copies ... like half.com or amazon.com.

      Glad you found the board and are excited about starting the plan. Make sure you read the book - it will give you the knowledge you need to get to your goal. If you can’t find a copy of the 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) locally check online at www.half.com or www.amazon.com. (Mine was under $5.00 including shipping for a "used" copy) Eat only foods listed on the acceptable food list and eat a variety of foods and vegetables.       Plan your meals for a fews days so you have everything in your home and you won’t be tempted to eat something not allowed. Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin daily. Look at the challenges to see if there is anything that interests you - start a journal, it's a great place to get everything out in the open, be accountable to yourself - you'll also meet some great people there! http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...journal-chats/.
