  • Hey all :D

    Hi there,

    My name is Kym. I am a 24 year old homemaker with 2 awesome kids. My partner Steve(gungadin) has also joined this community. The plan is to support each other and lose weight together seeing as we sort of put it on together! With christmas and other festivities now out of the way we are ready to crack on with it and I must admit, I am rather excited and fully determined!

    To my stats. I am 5'5 and I weigh in at 178lbs which is the heaviest I have ever been. 3 years ago I used to have a 26" waist and wore a UK size 8. Meeting Steve, stopping smoking and having another baby put an end to that and I have been feeling down with my UK size 14.

    My final goal is 130 pounds to hopefully get back into my original size. I am going to plan some mini goals along the way. I have numerous pairs of jeans going from size 8 to size 14 so my goals are to fit into the size 12 first and so on until I reach my much loved "skinny" jeans.

    Welcome, woohoo!! You're gonna love it here at More support than you'll know what to do with!!

    Nothing in the world like skinny jeans!! I haven't really known what skinny jeans were until the past 7 months or so!! When you can't slink into them anymore, though, that's a tough one!! It's great that you have so many pair to take you to your goal. I'm still buying them.

    Enjoy the beginning of your new journey. You SHOULD be excited! You're going to love your rewards for taking care of you!

    Feel free to ask questions as they come up! There are no dumb questions here! Also, if you'd like to, you can start a journal over in the Journal Chats forum. It's very helpful to post in a journal daily, for accountability, feedback and just getting to know other members here! Here's a link!           Welcome to the Atkins Board.

          Glad you found the board and are excited about starting the plan. Plan your meals for a fews days so you have everything in your home and you won’t be tempted to eat something not allowed. Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin daily. Look at the challenges to see if there is anything that interests you. There’s something for everyone here!

              imagood1 I am going to join in on the Febuary water challenge as the drinking water is going to be a challenge. I am one of those people who just doesnt drink it. I had a look at Linda's recipe site yesterday and I think it is fantastic. So many recipe ideas even when you are in induction. Puddings too! *dances*

                  You can still join the January water challenge - it's not too late to start! Pledge at least 64 ounces of pure water daily! Hope to see you there.
