  • I want to be healthy...

    Hi there,

    I'm Dianne and am looking forward to starting the Atkins diet. I lost weight on Atkins several years ago, joined and quit Weight Watchers this past year. I did lose some weight on Weight Watchers, but found it a chore and found myself consuming way too many carbs.

    My Mom has had a couple of strokes, my aunt died of a heart attack at age 62 (where I'll be later this year), and I have a close friend that had a stroke in November.

    I need to be healthy and the only way I can do that is to lose weight. So here I go. I'm looking forward to the journey and the support and information from this board.

      Healthy is good. And it is sometimes a much more motivating goal than thin.

          Welcome back to Atkins -- many of us have been on WW and decided it just wasn't for us.

          Plan your meals for a fews days so you have everything in your home and you won’t be tempted to eat something not allowed. Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin daily.
