  • Hi :)

    Hiya,
My names Elle, I am from Yorkshire England. I first went on the Atkins last July it did not take me long to become hooked I had lost a lot of weight and was really pleased.
I took it to far though and ended up been quite ill and too scared to touch anything with carbs in.
I am now fully recoverd, but back to my plumpish weight of around 10stone+ I darent even look on the scales!
I am now back on the atkins alot healthier than before eating more and trying them bars.
This seems like a real nice community and hope I fit in

      Re: Hi

Hi and welcome back to Atkins --

Good for you getting back on plan! This is a great place to be and you'll find all the support you want or need.

Since you've done Atkins before you may enjoy the STAC (second time around club), they have a daily sign in that people enjoy Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet. Also many people start a journal to keep track of themselves. It’s also a great place to meet new people http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/journal-chats/.

      Good luck to you.
      Carole

Keep in mind that Atkins is not a zero carbs diet. We do eat carbohydrates... mostly from low carb vegetables.

Focus on real, whole foods. Avoid low carb junk foods like diet sodas, Jello, bars, etc.

Make sure over half of the net carbohydrates you are eating are coming from vegetables.

Are you reading Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution (2002)?
"Get action. Seize the moment. Man was never intended to become an oyster."
