    Hi all,

    I joined the board back in June and by mid July I lost my way. When I first started I was at 204 and got down to 184 and I have since then gained most of it back.

    I don't know why I went off I felt great while following the Atkins way of life. I had more energy, less indigestion and was all around happier. I want to feel that way again and I'm really determined to stick with it this time.

    My downfall is never sweets I love breads, pastas and potatoes! I got all those things out of the house and I'm just hoping not to be tempted by them ever again. I know it's going to be a long road but I really want to be healthy again

    Welcome back!

    It is important, I think, to make one's house "fail safe". It's much harder to think about things if they aren't around!

    I also suggest that you really think about ... and journal ... why you lost your way. That can help you the next time you're in a situation that might be troublesome to you. I have found mental planning and thinking about situations to be quite helpful along the way.

      Hi and welcome back to Atkins --

      Good for you getting back on plan! This is a great place to be and you'll find all the support you want or need. I hope you’ve read the 2002 DANDR (Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution) book it's the edition we follow on this site. If not it's worth a few dollars to purchase – check www.half.com or www.amazon.com.


      Drink a minimum of 64 ounces of pure water daily, exercise and take a non-iron vitamin daily. There are so any different forums here there is something for just about everyone. Since you've done Atkins before you may enjoy the STAC (second time around club), they have a daily sign in that people enjoy Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet.
