    Here I go again.....

Well, what can I say but here I go again. Life is funny. You get rolling along, great things happening. You get comfortable. A little of this, a little of that. A little more of this, and a little more of that. A pound or two here. Ten or twenty pounds there. Isn't it crazy how easy it is to gain weight??? I love to eat! My mother in law says she loves to cook for me because I eat so much of whatever she fixes that I must think it is really good.

I've done Atkins before. Heck, I've done just about every diet out there. I lose weight, get comfortable with myself and then put it all and more back on. I started Atkins about 6 years ago and lost about 60 pounds and stayed that way for about two years. I loved it and I hadn't felt that good in a long time. Then we went to Disney World for a week (that coincided with my 40th birthday) and I figured that I would just eat whatever I wanted for a week. I figured it would be easy to get back on track again. Guess what? It wasn't.

So here I am again. A second time arounder? I guess so. Hopefully it will be the last time. Tomorrow morning I start. I figure I've got about 100 pounds to lose.

        Welcome!

Did you reread the book to refresh your mind about Atkins?

I hope you now realize Atkins is not a diet you do and stop.

Yeah, I know it's not a do and stop. I just fell off of the wagon and never really got back on. Started again this morning with just over 100 lbs. to lose.

Hi and welcome back to Atkins Scott --

Good for you getting back on plan! This is a great place to be and you'll find all the support you want or need. I hope you’ve read the 2002 DANDR (Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution) book it's the edition we follow on this site. If not it's worth a few dollars to purchase – check www.half.com or www.amazon.com.

Drink a minimum of 64 ounces of pure water daily, exercise and take a non-iron vitamin daily. There are so any different forums here there is something for just about everyone. Since you've done Atkins before you may enjoy the STAC (second time around club), they have a daily sign in that people enjoy Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet. Also many people start a journal to keep track of themselves. It’s also a great place to meet new people http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/journal-chats/.

Check Linda's recipe site - it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/menus.html. If you need anything we’re here to help you!! Good luck.
