    hi
    im Zara from India.
    i weigh in kilos 69 (151 lbs) and my target is 121 lbs.
    pretty heavy from everywhere in proportion.

    i need support ... im 28 y/o... married for ten years!

    iv quit soda's ... and eliminated sugarfree from my tea.

    i don't eat pork ..duck..turkey.

    i eat meat /chicken.


    Also..want to know ..if we can eat boiled lentils..or chickpeas ?


    thanks.. any clue how much time will I take ?
    I also use my treadmill for thirty-forty mins almost daily.

    Welcome to the Atkins Board.

    Glad you found the board and are ready to start the plan. It's impossibe to predict how long your weight loss will take because everyone is different. Boiled lentils aren't allowed on induction - there is a link below that will give you a list of the foods allowed induction and you can find the foods allowed in the order given when you get to OWL (ongoing weight loss).

    Make sure you read the book - it will give you the knowledge you need to get to your goal. If you can’t find a copy locally of the 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) check online at www.half.com or www.amazon.com – I got a “used” copy recently for less than $5.00 including shipping.

    Plan your meals for a few days so you have everything in your home and you won’t be tempted to eat something not allowed. Eat only foods listed on the acceptable food list http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...induction.html (What foods can be eaten on Induction?) make sure you eat a variety of foods and vegetables and count all “net carbs”. Do you eat fish of any type? Since you only list chicken as meat that you eat you are limiting yourself to not much variety. Check Linda's recipe site it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over --

    Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin daily.       No you cant eat boiled lentils and chick peas they are carbs.
      There is no saying how long it will take because some weeks you will lose some you can even stall.It seems like you have not read the book read DANDR 2002 version and know the basics on the diet and then re-decide if your going to do the plan.

        is it ok to eat gymnasium bar (rite bite ?) and protein milk after work out ?

        And ... if you ever get tired of meat and crave for sweets... do u eat fruits ?

        im on day #2 .. but had carrots..and little fruit for lunch ...!

          Oh no where are you getting these foods from their not allowed especially not during induction.
          No bars.You do not have fruits if you crave sweets because their high in carbs and are not acceptable at your stage.Carrots are a no no aswell.
          Please read the book and try to understand the diet you cant just ask as you go along because you will mess up.You need to know the basics before you start a diet and you dont.
          DANDR 2002 version purchase it!

                Welcome back! I took 8 months off too. Looks like you did better than me. I gained 55 lbs in my 8 month vacation! Come join us in STAC and lose with us.
