  • Determined..

    Well, I was walking through the Mall with my daughter over the weekend and that's when it hit me. I'm going to reinvent myself! I chose Atkins to lose the extra 50 pounds I need to.

    Joining this PUBLIC forum I believe will be a great way to stay connected and encouraged. I truly believe helping others helps me.

    Nice to meet all the people I haven't met yet..;}

        Oh thanks.It takes time but with determination I got this far.I have totally transformed myself and the other day my hubi said dont lose anymore you look too thin I was shocked!

              Welcome Cherilyn!

              Glad you found the board and are ready to start the plan.

              Make sure you read the book - it will give you the knowledge you need to get to your goal. If you can’t find a copy locally of the 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) check online at www.half.com or www.amazon.com – I got a “used” copy recently for less than $5.00 including shipping.

              Plan your meals for a few days so you have everything in your home and you won’t be tempted to eat something not allowed. Eat only foods listed on the acceptable food list http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...induction.html (What foods can be eaten on Induction?) make sure you eat a variety of foods and vegetables and count all “net carbs”. Check Linda's recipe site it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over --

              Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin daily. Look at the challenges to see if there is anything that interests you - start a journal, it's a great place to get everything out in the open, be accountable to yourself - you'll also meet some great people there! http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...journal-chats/.
