  • Hello

I've actually been lurking around and posting for a week already, but realized that I haven't introduced myself properly. I'm Carey, I'm in Vancouver, Canada, and I'm on my 7th day of induction. I'm down 4 pounds so far...just can't figure out how to update my ticker, but I'll get there. I still don't have much energy and that worries me, but it could be due to all the overtime night shifts I've been picking up at work lately. I'll have to wait until the Christmas bills are paid and I can sleep again and then I will figure that one out. I'm getting all of my veggies in so it can't be that. (I know that's the first thing that I would suggest to others .

Anyways, lovely to meet you all. I look forward to talking with everyone on this forum.

    Re: Hello

    Welcome!

Are you getting all your water?

How many net carbs are you getting from your Induction vegetables?

      Re: Hello

Welcome - glad you introduced yourself. Are you eating enough fats/protein along with your vegetables? When I first did induction I made sure I was getting enough protein and adding fat to it to keep my energy up. Also, water - like J mentioned above.

Good luck - hope you get your Christmas bills paid off soon!!

            Re: Hello

Thanks for the kind words and advice. I think I'm doing everything right so far...I've had over 2 litres of pure water on this night shift alone, sticking to my 2 cups of salad veggies and one cup of "other" acceptable veggies and I'm definatly eating enough fat with my protein. And today I miraculously had enough energy to walk 14K again and I'm not dragging at work! Maybe it was a first week slump . I'm thinking it will be seeing if I can control myself and add things back properly in OWL without getting my cravings back that will be the real challange. And thank you Sham, that's very nice of you to say!
