Unsweetened almond milk is incredibly low-carb, and while thinner, I actually prefer it to regular milk. At a fraction of the carb count, it's amazeballs. It's also perfection for folks who have a lactose intolerance and miss their milk.

Not a bad idea! I also love drinking Silk Soy but have the Light Silk Soy, it has only 70 calories per drink.

Nuts can trip me up sometimes, as well. As you move on to OWL and approach Rung 3 (nuts), you might want to consider different strategies for being able to enjoy some nuts without overindulging in them.

Two things I do are (1) weigh my portion and put it into a separate bag, since I have found myself eating more than an ounce when it's just me and the open can; and (2) eat shelled nuts when I can (peanuts, mainly), so it takes me longer to eat my one ounce portion.

When I am into next phase where I can eat nuts, I will get small portion into a small bag from the bulk. Before, I usually had put one or two lbs of nuts into a bulk bag and I ended eating a half of the bag. The kind of nuts that drives me crazy is PECANS!!!! It is only nut I eat. Maybe I change to almonds nuts until I meet my weight goal. That way I don't get out of control with PECANS because I eat Almonds really slow.

      Thanks for the adivice.

Atkins is a high fat diet. You want fat.

Did you read through the links that were given to you?

Atkins is not about "light" products and restricting calories. We eat full fat cheese, butter, heavy cream...

Silk Soy has a lot of sugar if regular, so light soy silk has barely sugar. You are right, it is full fat and I love it! Can you drink heavy cream?

You must be talking about Silk Unsweetened Soy Milk (3 net carbs per serving), not about Silk Light Original (7 net carbs per serving).

            Can you drink heavy cream?
Did you check the Acceptable Foods List: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...induction.html ?

It does not say how much fats in heavy cream I can have. Thank you so much for your patient. I feel so dumb with this bulletin Board.

I am still reading Atkins rules but can you tell me exactly how much heavy cream I can have? Is with a lot of fats a dangerous to heart?

It doesn't really matter how much fat is in it. You are counting net carbs, not fat.

You can use fitday.com to keep track of your net carbs (total carbs minus dietary fiber).

Did you check the link I gave you above? It says there.

                Not on Atkins.
