  • Hello everyone!

    Good day to everyone out there! Well, or evening if that's when you happen to read this.

    My name's Alanna, and I'm from Ontario (Canada). I've been reading these forums for some time now, and I wanted to finally join in.

    I started Atkins on my 28th birthday (Which was December 10th, of 2009). Sheila of Sugar Free Sheila had been a great help to me thus far (and she's as sweet as the sugar she's free of ;P). However, unfortunately I've had some hiccups, and due to some emotional stress I went off of this WOE this last week. However, I'm returning! I refuse to just hang up the gloves.

    I've realized, as with most things in my own life, to be successful, I need a game plan. I usually plan out most things within my life (I'm one of those weirdos that love to plan), and I thought - well, why am I not doing it with some of the most important things in my life (if not THE most important things) - diet and exercise? So! In order to correct this, I will figure out a plan of attack! I am going to be joining up with a lot of these challenges, as I believe they will keep me motivated to work out and such.

    One thing I have been neglectful on is support. Considering for me to succeed in most things, I usually need a little bit of a cheering squad sometimes. It helps me stay motivated, even when these emotional times happen (and I get shaken enough to want to turn to food - baaad).

    Anyhow, it's a pleasure to meet you all, and I look forward to the friendships, advice, and chatting!

    Goal 2: 220 lbs.
    Goal 3: 200 lbs.
    Goal 4: 180 lbs.
    Goal 5: 160 lbs.
    Goal 6: 140 lbs.

    January Mileage: 0/40 miles (stationary bike)
    January Push-ups: 0/500

    Welcome to the board - though I already met you in the shred challenge

    Sheila is lovely - I often refer to her site.

    We are a great cheering squad here - let us know about all of your ups and downs.

    I am a planner extraordinaire as well. Whilst having a plan is great - don't allow not following it to the letter to let you sldie entirely (which is something I have to look for).

            Thanks for the warm welcome, Alexa! Yes, I plan to shred it up as best I can. Hopefully it'll get easier.

            I'm looking forward to see more challenges with workout DVDs. I think that was a great idea!

            Well, my ups and downs happen often. But hopefully with some help I can reach more ups.

            You're right about planning. Sometimes I get discouraged when something I've planned doesn't go accordingly. I guess the lesson is to plan in moderation? Hehe.

                        Welcome!!

                        Drink enough water -- 64 ounces minimum of pure water daily! Sounds like you have the "exercise" part of the plan going, good for you! Are you taking a multivitamin without Iron?
