  • Start Induction Monday

    Hello!
    I start my induction phase Monday. I have my shopping list ready and I am cooking some tomorrow night to prepare for the week.
    I am a mom of 3 beautiful children, proud and supportive military wife, a teacher and a grad student. My husband is currently deployed to Afghanistan and I want to loos the "stess" weight I have gained (about 15) pounds since deployment, as well as an additional 50 pounds. I would like to loose 20-30 by the middle of March, as this is the time frame of when my husband will be returniing from deployment. I am motivated and ready to start. I am very excited. I will miss my bread and past, but I am determined to do this. This forum is a great motivator and support. I am sure I will be on here often as I continue to loose weight.

    I have the Wii Fit board and the "Biggest Loser" game and I am ready to tackle my workout too!!!!

    Good job for planning your meals!

    If you follow the plan correctly, you will be smaller by March. Remember to take body measurements, too. Sometimes the scale is stubborn, but inches still drop off our measurements, which is a great indicator of fat loss.

      Hi,

      Me too! I'm 33 and also want to loose around 60lbs. I'm a little scared about the first few days and feeling rubbish, but I'm determined 2010 will be the year I get rid of my excess weight.

        Welcome!!

        Not everyone feels bad the first few days, it's not "mandatory"...and if you don't feel up to par, drink a little more pure water, take a pain releaver if you have a headache or body aches and just remember IF you feel this way, it only lasts a couple days.

        I'm so happy you are planning meals ahead of time - that's key to staying on plan! Make some dishes you've never had before, that way you won't get tired of the same thing over and over! Eggs don't have to be a breakfast meal - leftovers are great also!

          I too am 33 and looking to lose 60 pds!! Getting married May 21st. Started atkins Jan 4th and down 5 lbs. Got my dress off the rack last month size 16 and fit perfect, but would like to be a 10-12 if possible,(or smaller) by wedding time. Lots of critcal family members coming in for the wedding.. Good luck to you.. maybe we can keep in touch and see how each other are doing..
