  • Hello from a COLD Georgia!!

    Hello!
I start my induction phase Monday. I have my shopping list ready and I am cooking some tomorrow night to prepare for the week.
I am a mom of 3 beautiful children, proud and supportive military wife, a teacher and a grad student. My husband is currently deployed to Afghanistan and I want to loos the "stess" weight I have gained (about 15) pounds since deployment, as well as an additional 50 pounds. I would like to loose 20-30 by the middle of March, as this is the time frame of when my husband will be returniing from deployment. I am motivated and ready to start. I am very excited. I will miss my bread and past, but I am determined to do this. This forum is a great motivator and support. I am sure I will be on here often as I continue to loose weight.

I have the Wii Fit board and the "Biggest Loser" game and I am ready to tackle my workout too!!!!
    Hello!
I will begin the induction phase tomorrow. I am ready to work. I am a mother of 3, a proud military wife (husband is currently deployed to Afghanistan), a graduate student and a middle school teacher. Obviously my plate is full. Due to the stress of deployment I have gained a few (20 pounds) this year and I really want to loose them prior to my husband coming home

THe kids got a Wii for Christmas and I got the Fit board and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Biggest Loser game! It is awesome!!!!!

I am up for the challenge and totally committed to make this my lifestyle. I know I am going to miss by bread and pasta, but with will power and perserverance I will make it through!!!!

Re: Hello from a COLD Georgia!!

You can do it- it really is pretty easy once you get past the first few days!
What part of Ga?! I'm in Loganville. So tired of the cold and this silly bit of snow that wont go away and just teases me and the kids.
Funny enough I may be a LOGCAP wife soon...with my former devil dog stationed in Afghanistan in troop support.
I lost 80 pounds on Atkins in 2003. I have slowly gained back since- and then got sick and gained a lump sum at once.
You have to stay motivated, don't get discouraged!
I love wii fit...maybe I will go get the biggest loser game!

Re: Hello from a COLD Georgia!!

Thanks for the welcoming messages. I live in Milledgeville on Lake Sinclair! It is way too cold for Georgia.... the cove I live on has a sheet of ice on it! This is crazy!

I am ready for a great start. I have chopped, diced, packaged, divided and packed my food for work and ready to put together for breakfast. Being on a hetic schedule, planning meals, snacks and preparing as much as possible before my work week begins is a great way to hlep me not cheat!

            Welcome --

It sounds like you are ahead of the game with your planning! That's a real plus and will help you in the long run. Make sure you get enough pure water in everyday -- 64 ounces is the minimum -- more is better.

Make sure you eat a variety of food -- check some of the recipes on Linda's site so you aren't eating the same thing over and over. http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/menus.html

            Good luck to you.
