When I first started trying to lose weight a couple of years ago, I had never used a bulletin board like this, did not know any of the dieting terms or simple Internet acronyms. It took time but bit by bit I learned how to do tickers, post pictures and links to other sites, use the smilies and use colors or bolding in my posts, etc.
Just come here often and you'll pick things up. And you'll learn about Atkins and get slimmer/healthier at the same time.

Hi Gina-
You "sorta"have to just look around and figure things out a little.
One thing to do:
Go to "Quick Links" on the top of the page
Click on Edit Signature, Edit Options, Edit Details, and just fill in some of the info. You also should be filling out your signature into---like this:
Start weigh/current weight/goal
200/150/140
Started 1/00/2010
Look at other people's posts and see what"fits" for you.
Also this may be helpful:

Yes, welcome! I began here Jan. 5 of this year and still getting the hang of things *lol* still have a ways to go. Another thing that encouraged me tons, was sugarfreesheila.com she has a great web site, aquired a lot of links and basic information to help anyone choosing to LC (low carb)

Welcome to the Atkins Board.
To get started, make sure you read the book - it will give you the knowledge you need to get to your goal. If you can’t find a copy locally of the 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) check online at www.half.com or www.amazon.com – I got a “used” copy recently for less than $5.00 including shipping not long ago.
Eat only foods listed on the acceptable food list http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...induction.html (What foods can be eaten on Induction?) make sure you eat a variety of foods and vegetables and count all “net carbs”. Plan your meals for a few days so you have everything in your home and you won’t be tempted to eat something not allowed. Check Linda's recipe site it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/menus.html.
Exercise, take a non-iron multivitamin and drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), daily. Start a journal, it's a great place to get everything out in the open, be accountable to yourself - you'll also meet some great people there! http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...journal-chats/.
