    Hi!
    Hopefully I'm doing the right thing and introducing myself correctly.
    My online forum skills are scarce! haha

    I'm a 21 year old girl from Australia!
    The reason I'm starting the Atkins Diet is my modeling.
    I have had a rough few years, and the pounds became my best friends.
    I'm 6 foot and I want to get back to my slim and trim figure!

    I'm on my first day, (wish me luck) :P and I had a quick question to throw into my intro...
    Diet Coke...Yay or Nay?

    I don't drink much of the stuff, but I was wondering if a cup or so a day was okay?

    Anyway,
    Thanks to anyone who took the time to read this...(Again, hoping I did this correctly haha).

    I hope everyones doing well on their Atkins adventure!

    Are you looking to lose 10 kg or do you plan to make Atkins your way of eating for life?

    Are you reading the 2002 edition of Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution?

    Diet Coke...Yay or Nay?
    Diet Coke is sweetened with aspartame, which Dr. Atkins told us to avoid. Some people are stalled by it, others aren't.

    My advice is that you use Induction to starve your sweet tooth.

    If you choose to have any diet sodas, then you will need to count each serving as one serving of sweetener. Sweeteners are limited to 3 packets/servings per day.

      I find that I can't get much more into me after my 80 oz of water. Personally, I don't believe that stuff is healthy, so if I were you and since you really don't like it, just drink more water or something that has some healthy benefit

        I haven't got a hold of the Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution just yet Georgiana!
        I'm looking into it however, most definitely.
        As for now, my main focus is the 10kgs, however my preference for eating junk really needs to be changed, permanently.

        Is the Atkins way a healthy lifestyle choice?

          It is certainly a lifestyle choice, and healthy. Look at the induction foods, meat, cheese, veggies, fats, etc. You tell folks your doing Atkins and there eyes will get wide and they will tell you all these horror stories; Atkins was fat when he died; it is bad for your kidneys, etc. Don't believe them for a minute. Its healthy and it works

                I question why you are willing to loose a few pounds with Atkins but question whether it's a healthy lifestyle or not. Atkins isn't a quick fix diet to us - it IS the lifestyle we chose and it IS healthy.
