Hello, all. I am a new member to the site. I started, about 10 years ago on Atkins, and over an 11 month period, I lost about 91 lbs. Atkins was a great way to lose weight and I felt so good! After that, life happened and I lost my resolve, slowly adding a little here and there. When I got married, about 2 years after ending Atkins, I had gained about 20 lbs. But, then, I had my son (now 6) and gained about 100 lbs. during pregnancy (he weighed almost 11 lbs.). And-well-here I am today still carrying much of that weight 6 years later!!!! I started induction on Sunday and I already feel sooo much better. No afternoon lags-energized. I have been using my treadmill for about a month and got a WII Fit for Christmas, so that's been a huge help. I want to lose 40-50 lbs. by summer-I want to run around with my son and be comfortable. I want to lose 100lbs. (or, more) altogether. But, baby steps. Thanks for reading!

It's really hard sometimes when you are depressed, etc. I knew what I was doing after my Mom's death 2 years ago which was emotional eating, eating sugary junk here and there and just saying to heck with it- and continuing. I fell into that trap and had to get myself in gear and quit making excuses for myself, the depression, "ignoring" the steady creeping of weight gain, wearing sweats. Then one day I try on my size 6 jeans and they go halfway up my thighs! Denial ain't just a river in Egypt! lol I didn't think I would ever gain back 35 pounds after losing 100 and living this way of life (Atkins) but, hey, it happened, but tis not too late! I watch family member with T2 diabetes and who are overweight shoot insulin or take meds for it and wow, wake up call. I don't want to be there!

Do you have the 2002 edition of Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution?
