  • Newbie here, but not to Atkins!

Hi! I'm Lisa-wanted to re-post this in the right area. I have been an avid Atkins supporter for over 10 years. I lost over 100 pounds from 2001-2003. I maintained my weight of 127-135 for a long time and sabatoged myself 2 years ago when my Mom passed away. I was eating sugar and more refined carbs and gained 35 pounds back. (Not including the 10 pounds I gained during this past Christmas!!) I went back full-fledged after the Holidays and had to decide to stop my emotional eating. I'm doing Induction now- 2nd weeks in and have dropped the Holiday weight! I am 48 and 10 years ago was pre-diabetic. I vow to never be obese again! Not just for vanity reasons, but for my HEALTH! I have been fortunate to have gained a LOT of knowledge about the Atkins plan and its nay-sayers. I am so happy to find this board!

Hi and welcome back to Atkins --

Good for you getting back on plan! This is a great place to be and you'll find all the support you want or need. I hope you have the 2002 DANDR (Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution) book it's the edition we follow on this site. You know the drill, exercise, take a non-iron vitamin and drink a minimum of 64 ounces of pure.

Since you've done Atkins before you may enjoy the STAC (second time around club), they have a daily sign in that people enjoy Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet. Also many people start a journal to keep track of themselves. It’s also a great place to meet new people http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/journal-chats/.

If you need anything we’re here to help you!! Good luck.
