  • A Girl from Sweden doing Atkins!

    Hi!
I am 25 years old and I am on my 4th day of atkins. I have had 2 babies in less that 2 years and that added on an extra 50lbs! Not good!
I started dieting at 209lbs and when I started Atkins I was 180. Now on day 4 my weight is 171. My goal weight is around 130lbs so I have a long way to go! Hopefully you can help me stay motivated so I can finally look lika a hot moma!

You'd better get it or buy a new one. You'll need it.

The book can be ordered online.

Yes we love to have chemical releases from our foods. They become drugs and not sustenance for us after a while. It can be hard to get past that but time will help.

You can try to make revolution rolls
and when you move up the rungs - some baking will be possible.

                      Welcome to the Atkins Board.

To get started, make sure you read the book - it will give you the knowledge you need to get to your goal. If you can’t find a copy locally of the 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) check online at www.half.com or www.amazon.com – I got a “used” copy recently for less than $5.00 including shipping not long ago.

Eat only foods listed on the acceptable food list http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...induction.html (What foods can be eaten on Induction?) make sure you eat a variety of foods and vegetables and count all “net carbs”. Plan your meals for a few days so you have everything in your home and you won’t be tempted to eat something not allowed. Check Linda's recipe site it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over --
                      http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/menus.html.

Exercise, take a non-iron multivitamin and drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), daily. Start a journal, it's a great place to get everything out in the open, be accountable to yourself - you'll also meet some great people there! http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...journal-chats/. There’s something for everyone here!

If you need anything we’re here to help you!! Good luck to you!
                      Carole
