  • Hi, new to the boards

    Hi Everyone,

My name is Candi and I just joined the ADBB, I started my second attempt at Atkins on Monday. My first try on the diet was back in 2004 and I did extremely well (lost about 30 lbs) before I developed a bowel obstruction and other medical complications which caused me to forgo the diet and live on ice cream for months at a time.

Now, with my medical conditions under control, its time to get my weight under control. I've been using my wii fit to mointer my weight loss every day and am finding it wonderful to actually see a graph of how much I lose (or gain or stay the time).

I've spent all morning on the boards reading success stories and am more excited than anything to continue on this road and add my own success story in the near future.

    Thanks for reading!

            Welcome to the Atkins Board.

Eat only foods listed on the acceptable food list http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...induction.html (What foods can be eaten on Induction?) make sure you eat a variety of foods and vegetables and count all “net carbs”. Plan your meals for a few days so you have everything in your home and you won’t be tempted to eat something not allowed. Check Linda's recipe site it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/menus.html

            Good luck to you.
