  • Would like to introduce myself.

    Hi, my name is Kristi, I am 36 yrs old and started induction on Monday. I am happy to say I am in Ketosis, dark purple. I signed up for fitday this morning and think I will like that tool in keeping track. I'm 225lbs and need to lose about 75 lbs. I look forward to the support I hope to receive on my journey.

                Hi and welcome --

                The color doesn't mean much -- dark can mean you are dehydrated so make sure you are drinking the MINIMUM 64 ounces of pure water daily. There are no "degrees" of keotsis -- purple isn't any better than pink or beige - you're either in keotsis or your aren't.

                Eat only foods listed on the acceptable food list http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...induction.html (What foods can be eaten on Induction?) make sure you eat a variety of foods and vegetables and count all “net carbs”. Plan your meals for a few days so you have everything in your home and you won’t be tempted to eat something not allowed.
