  • Hi

    Hi all,
Zahc here, 42 yo male Brit. Great site! I'm learning alot here, even in the 4 days I've been doing the induction phase. I'm having some trouble figuring out what half your ingredients are as they appear to have different names across the pond. Still, nothing Google can't handle, or a quick email to my American friends.
My Medical Officer says I've to lose 15kg, so that's my initial goal then we'll see. I've given up smoking along with carbs and alcohol, so I'm not safe to be around at the moment
    Cheers for now.

    Re: Hi

    Welcome
Wish I could help with the ingredient names but...I have no idea
It's great that you gave up alcohol and smoking ( I quit both 11 yrs ago and life is so much better...can't believe I wasted soooo much time in the clubs.) Hope all goes as well for you.

    Wishing you good luck here.

        Welcome to ADBB, Zahc!

Make sure you have the 2002 edition of Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution. You'll need the book along the way.

        Good job for quitting smoking!

Thanks, I have the book but it's a rubbish read, like being back at school! I'm doing it the phases which is about as much as I can take.

What's rubbish about the book? I found it very informative and something I refer to over and over.

There are plenty of Brits here - Elizellen is one of the moderators who I'm sure would be more than happy to help you figure out the names of what we're talking about.

            Good luck.

I didn't mean the book was rubbish, I meant that it was a 'dry' read; It is indeed informative, so much so I have to read it in phases to take it all in.
Sorry if I've rubbed you up the wrong way, I'll try and make my posts less ambiguous.
