  • It's been a while...

Hello everyone! I started this WOE in October of 2005 at 164.5lbs. For a few years I did very well and maintained between 123 and 130. Since finishing grad school in June of 2008 I really let myself slack off. I blamed my gradual gain on work, moving, and everything else imaginable. I was totally in denial but when I reached my start weight of 164.5 I knew I had to do something.

So I am back and ready to commit again! My official re-start date was 1-4-10! So far so good. I've lost 5lbs and I feel so much better already!

Hi and welcome back to Atkins --

Good for you getting back on plan! This is a great place to be and you'll find all the support you want or need. I hope you have the 2002 DANDR (Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution) book it's the edition we follow on this site. Exercise, take a non-iron vitamin and drink a minimum of 64 ounces of pure. Check Linda's recipe site - it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over --
          http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/menus.html.

Since you've done Atkins before you may enjoy the STAC (second time around club), they have a daily sign in that people enjoy Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet. Also many people start a journal to keep track of themselves. It’s also a great place to meet new people http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/journal-chats/.

If you need anything we’re here to help you!! Good luck.
          Carole

Well, the weight loss seems to be a little slower than when I first did induction. I think my downfall was not visiting the board enough. When I was maintaining a good weight and following this WOE consistently I was posting a lot. It kept me motivated. I really started falling off the wagon when I stopped posting and checking the board. I like the support that I got here.

Thanks for the support! I've started posting in my journal stat page again last night. Boy, those measurements were disappointing but I know I can do it again! I've got the book and reviewed my induction rules! The water is tough but I'm doing much better now that I'm in the mode.
