  • mucked up- do I have to restart?

Hello! it's day 4 of induction, and the cravings were so awful combined with stress (I'm in the middle of exams!) I ate a piece of apple crumble pie with cream, had a cup of tea and a satsuma.

Do I have to restart induction from day one?? will this completely muck up the last 3 days?! any help would be amazing

I do fear that your last three days have been "mucked up".

The cup of tea wasn't so bad ... unless it was filled with sugar.

What's happened is that you've taken your body out of ketosis, if you were there yet, and you haven't helped yourself get over any cravings ... in fact, you've only added to them.

And ... you probably didn't really help your stress level either!

You can't actually start at day one again ... however, you can make the next bite you eat Atkins ... and keep moving forward.

And come up with a better plan for cravings and stress.

Afraid so, my dear. Here is an article you probably should read.

Dear, instead of trying to "re-start" Induction, I'd sit down and have a think about what you can do next time (a) you begin to feel cravings and/or (b) start feeling stressed. Make a list of alternate activities you can pursue rather than eating/drinking something that isn't on-plan. Write it out all nice and neat and keep it handy at all times. That way, instead of feeling trapped by circumstances (that makes eating off-plan so much more desirable), you can whip out your list and keep yourself occupied until the craving passes.

          Restart would be best.
