    68F. Starting out at 170. Doing low carb maybe around about 25 carbs a day hopefully gluten free. Thanks for letting me join in.

    Are you doing Atkins or just low carb? We generally start at about 20 carbs and those from veggies. It's a wonderful plan and it really works, so if you haven't already, find the book and read all about it.

        Welcome --

        Since you have the book you should already have a working knowledge of the Atkins plan from Induction to Maintainance.

        Eat a variety of foods listed on the acceptable food list http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html. Make sure you eat a variety of foods and vegetables and count all “net carbs”. Plan your meals for a few days so you have everything in your home and you won’t be tempted to eat something not allowed. Check Linda's recipe site it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/menus.html.

        Exercise, take a non-iron multivitamin and drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), daily. Start a journal, it's a great place to get everything out in the open, be accountable to yourself - you'll also meet some great people there! http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...journal-chats/.
