I started this diet a week ago and lost five pounds straight away but became terribly constipated along the way. I drink about 60 oz water every day, I can't drink anymore than this, it's simply my limit.
I bought some sugar free Citricuel (can't tolerate Metamucil) only to discover that using it twice a day like I need to really blows carb count, I wondered why my ketosis stick was only on light the last two days and now I know. I did a little research on the internet and found that using it three times a day (I need that much for regularity every day, due to constipating meds) really blew my carb count for the day - that alone appears to be 18 carbs from what I can tell. This new info really upset me.
I don't know what to do, I can't tolerate this but seriously don't want to lose this diet. I am 59 and need to lose 80 pounds so I intend to stay on induction for just as long as I can. Please advise, I'm at the end of my rope!
