  • Day 3 after 4-5 failed attemps!!!

    Hello

    Im George and my partner is cheri we have started atkins about 4 or 5 times and never got further then day 6 so we started again on monday 25-1-10 in the hope we can make it work this time

    the problem we find is we keep eating the same thing over and over again
    but this time as yet we havent had chicken wraped in bacon with cheese on top thank god

    anyway thats a little about us and we hope this forum will give us the kick we both need when were feeling down

    Welcome back to Atkins, George and Cheri!

    Eating the same thing all the time is not a good idea when you are allowed so much good filling, food. Check out the Food Forum for recipes as well as Linda's Low Carb Website for things that will keep you staying on track this time. You can do it!

      thanks we have been ok we have not eaten the same thing yet but its only lunch time on day three

      ill def look at the food forum for some ideas

        Welcome to both of you --

        Have you read the book? It will give you the knowledge you need to get to your goal. If you can’t find a copy locally of the 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) check online at www.half.com or www.amazon.com – I got a “used” copy recently for less than $5.00 including shipping not long ago.

        So many people, like you, eat the same thing over and over then get bored and stop the plan. Eat a variety of foods listed on the acceptable food list http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html. Make sure you count all “net carbs” (total carbs minus fiber equals net carbs). Plan your meals for a few days so you have everything in your home and you won’t be tempted to eat something not allowed. Check Linda's recipe site it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over --

        Exercise, take a non-iron multivitamin and drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), daily.
