    Hi all:

    I am starting once again, but this time I decided to get support, my family doesn't understand. I have 40 lbs that I would like to loose, however it depends on what my body will let me do, is where I will set my final goal.

    Doing Atkin's is not a choice for me. I have a body that does not accept carbohydrates. I have sever reactions, not only weight gain, but stomach aches, and digestion issues, so for me it is a nessicity.

    I look forward to meeting all of you, and hearing how you choose to deal with your challenges on a daily basis.

      Officially Re-Focusing on 12-28-09.

      Was, Am, Will be: 280/222/175ish.
      Started Dec 2005 and lost 105 lbs by mid 2006, maintained loss for the most part until 2009...then really let go & gained some back... lol

      so:
      Restart Progress:
      12/28/09 ~ 235.1
      01/04/10 ~ 229.0
      01/11/10 ~ 229.0 Grrrrr....
      (Induction= only 6lbs but lost 10 inches! yay)
      01/18/10 ~ 227.4
      01/5/10 ~ 226.8
      02/01/10 ~ 222.6

          Hi and welcome -- I'm the only one in my household on Atkins so I understand when you say your family doesn't understand. Stand your ground and you'll be fine!

          Exercise, take a non-iron multivitamin and drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), daily. Start a journal, it's a great place to get everything out in the open, be accountable to yourself - you'll also meet some great people there! http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...journal-chats/. There’s something for everyone here! Since you've done Atkins before you may enjoy the STAC (second time around club), they have a daily sign in that people enjoy Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet.

          Make sure you eat a variety of foods and vegetables and count all “net carbs”. Plan your meals for a few days so you have everything in your home and you won’t be tempted to eat something not allowed.
