Kevin, you are not meant to stay on induction. Move to Ongoing Weight Loss- you will still lose, get more carbs, and start learning the lessons you will need to maintain your loss. And congrats on a great start!

      Hi Kevin -

Have you read the 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution book so you understand the different phases of the plan? Are you eating a variety of foods or the same thing over and over? How much of your food has sweetners in it that you are still having sugar cravings?

Moving to the OWL Rungs sounds like what you need to do. Good luck.

28 pounds in 30 days... WOW!!! Congratulations
You have done a fantastic job so far. But I agree with Chinadoll, if you
but still crave carbs and sugar.
then something is off somewhere. Check your food logs and see what you are eating that could be triggering it. ie: too many sweetners, diet sodas, diet jello, or a food you may be sensitive to? (example: cream cheese with splenda gives me cravings over the edge, but cream cheese by itself or splenda by itself is ok)

        Keep working it.

Re: 30 days of induction 28 lbs lost so far

thx guys..but i thought I was suppose to stay on the induction phase until i got my desired weight. i started at 343 and i want to get down to 250...this moring 315 still.
I stick to the diet exact..no sugars at all... I usually eat the same things like 2 bacon 2 eggs and 1oz chees for breakfast..then like 6 oz chicken breaast grilled and a few cups of salad greens and 1oz cheese for lunch and for dinner maybe a 6 oz can of tuna with a tablespoon of mayonaise and a cheese stick and maybe a 1/2 cup coliflower..been doin this pretty much with the exception of changing meats around from chicken to ground sirloin ...to pork chops....but basically the same exact things everday...I must say it works good and I guess ill continue as long as I lose weight.

You might be craving because you haven't varied your meals any. No induction is really just for the first two weeks. Read the Ongoinging Weight Loss section and he explains how to "climb" the ladder and still lose. It helps because it adds to the selection plus the added nutrients. You can still stick with induction for about 6 month, but then it's recommended you start the move up.

You should be trying more veggies and eating more than a half cup of them. That will help too and some folks lose faster when they add more veggies. Go to Owl to lose and learn how to keep it off long term.
