  • Starting today...Question

    Just wondering if coming off of a liquid diet with no break going to Atkins will cause any issues....Does anyone have an idea?

    SW: 210
    GW: 189
    Height: 5'7 3/4
    Female...tried atkins in 2000...worked wonders 19lbs in two weeks

    Welcome to ADBB!

    You will probably experience some weight gain initially, as your body is adjusting to more calories and to real food. However, this would happen regardless of what way of eating you'd follow... unless you continue with a liquid diet for life... which I'm sure you don't plan to.

    Are you reading the 2002 edition of Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution?

        A small number of people have had gall bladder issues after following a liquid diet and switching (regardless of what solid diet they go to) so if you experience any abdominal pain over the next few weeks, get it checked out.
