  • This is a NO FAIL way to lose weight!

    Hey guys,

    Just joined and I'm loving this site. I have done the Atkins before for many years but fell off the wagon and now a year later I have gained quite a bit. I'm not worried because for those of you who don't know yet, this way of eating works. Yes, it will take a a couple weeks to adjust but trust me the results are well worth it. Good luck to you all and thanks for the support. Don't give up because you cannot fail!

    Atkins is also a good way to keep the weight off once you've lost it!

    And that's the real joy ... and work.

      Welcome to ADBB im a newbie here too.

      i joined ADBB on the 31 and so far everyone has been really supportive and they give really good advice! i love to look at the before and after success stories to keep me motivated. this site really is AMAZING!

      im on day 8 of induction and on day 7 was really excited to see that i had lost 8lbs!

          Hi and welcome back to Atkins --

          Good for you getting back on plan! I hope you have the 2002 DANDR (Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution) book it's the edition we follow on this site. Exercise, take a non-iron vitamin and drink a minimum of 64 ounces of pure water. Check Linda's recipe site - it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over --

                  celery, rolled up ham with or without cream cheese, cheese chips (microwave cut up slices of deli deluxe cheese on parchment paper for 1 minute - they taste like Cheese-Its), wings, boiled eggs, deviled eggs, slices of cheddar cheese (cheese should not exceed 3 ounce per day), no sugar added pickles....just a few snack ideas

                    Also remember to have a big and filling breakfast. This will help you snack less. Veggies is always a great idea. Stay away from nuts ( I learned the hard way this week). Plus they are no allowed on Induction.

                    I tried making the cheez bits microwave treats but it gets stuck to the paper. What cheese do you buy..is it deli imagood1?

                    Overall whatever you do, just don't give up. Think about how great it'll be tis summer after you lose a few! Goodluck!
