    Hello,

It has been awhile since my last start. Things were going well but sadly life crashed on me and I fall off the wagon. Not only did I fall off but I completely lost my way. After a few months things are finally turning around for me and I am ready to start the journey again.

The plan is to start either next Monday ( 2/8 ) or the Monday (2/15) after. Depends on my money situation.

Good news is I got a new job. I'll be working for the DOC in a max security prison. I start on the 8th. Was a long process to get the job but I made it. It wasn't the original job I was aiming for but it will do. Good pay, good benefits, and good hours. All I can ask for in this economy.

Right now I am on the heavy side. I am 6'2 and weigh 280 lbs. I hope to cut that down to at least 230.

Anyhow, just wanted to say hi.

Hi and welcome back to Atkins --

Good for you getting back on plan! I hope you have the 2002 DANDR (Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution) - it's the edition we follow on this site. Exercise, take a non-iron vitamin and drink a minimum of 64 ounces of pure water. Check Linda's recipe site - it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over --
          http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/menus.html.

Take your meals to your job so you know exactly what you're eating....and once again -- don't forget that water!!! You'll do fine. Congrats on the job!!

Also many people start a journal to keep track of themselves. It’s also a great place to meet new people http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/journal-chats/.

If you need anything we’re here to help you!! Good luck.

Thanks for all the welcomes and words of encouragement. I hope to start it soon here. Got to purge all the bad foods and bring in the good stuff before I can start. Should be in the next week or so.

              Thanks again

If you're getting rid of bad food, remember to give what you can to a local food pantry.
