Hello, welcome! I don't know what PCOS is but I would think low carb is healthy for anyone. Good Luck and just take it one day at a time.

Hello Everyone, I have been on a low carb diet since Nov. 16, 2009. I have lost 27lbs so far! I am so happy to have stumbled across this website...I have stalled out for the last three weeks any suggestions? I have also been constipated alot lately...should I incoporate fiber 1 in my diet?

          Welcome to the Atkins Board.

To get started, make sure you read the book - it will give you the knowledge you need to get to your goal. If you can’t find a copy locally of the 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) check online at
www.half.com or www.amazon.com – I got a “used” copy recently for less than $5.00 including shipping not long ago.

For help with PCOS there is a thread you can check:
          http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/pcos-atkins-low-carb-living/.

Eat a variety of foods listed on the acceptable food list
http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html. Make sure you eat a variety of foods and vegetables and count all “net carbs”. Plan your meals for a few days so you have everything in your home and you won’t be tempted to eat something not allowed. Check Linda's recipe site it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/menus.html.

Exercise, take a non-iron multivitamin and drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), daily. Start a journal, it's a great place to get everything out in the open, be accountable to yourself - you'll also meet some great people there!
http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...journal-chats/. There’s something for everyone here!

If you need anything we’re here to help you!! Good luck to you!

juicie - it's best to start a new thread to ask your question - that way more people will see it -
