    Hi all!

    Im starting today on induction. 10 years ago I lost 60 pounds and got in the best shape of my life following the WOL.
    As the years passed, if I gained weight I went right back to induction and lost it.....but have gotten very lazy..and now I'm 6 pounds heavier then I was when i started this WOL 10 years ago.....so I have to get on track...Im turning 40 this summer AND will a first time grandmother in the same month.
    I DO not want to be a fat frumpy forty year old grammy!!!!

    I want to get healthy and STAY healthy!!!

    I look forward to all hte support form this site! Especially when I get up at 2 am and eat cookies while half asleep!!!!!

      Welcome to ADBB!

      Are you reading the 2002 edition of Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution? That's the one we are following here and the diet was changed by Dr. Atkins from what it was 10 years ago.

        The book I have was copy written in 2002, the title is Atkins for Life.
        Also, THANKS A BUNCH for helping me wiht the ticker situation.

              the Atkins for Life is more a maintanance book - you can get a cheap copy of DANDR (Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution) at www.half.com or www.amazon.com - check the used book section.

              Eat a variety of foods listed on the acceptable food list http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html. Make sure you eat a variety of foods and vegetables and count all “net carbs”.

              Plan your meals for a few days so you have everything in your home. Check Linda's recipe site - it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/menus.html.

              Exercise, take a non-iron multivitamin and drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), daily. A journal is a great place to get everything out in the open, be accountable to yourself - you'll also meet some great people – you can start one here: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...journal-chats/.
