Well, this is my last attempt at losing weight. I've tried EVERYTHING else and nothing seems to work. I'm exicited about this though! I only started on Wednesday (the 3rd) and I've already lost 7lbs!!! I'm going to start going back to the gym tonight and hopefully the weight loss doesn't slow down. I've been super strict with my carbs (less then 10g a day).Any tips, or advice would be much appreciated.

Re: First Time doing Atkins
3 cups of veggies per day is the rule for induction. Also, more than half of your daily carbs should come from veggies. That isn't going crazy - it is eating good carbs instead of "bad" carbs. I don't know what you mean by 'salad' (some people mean a bowl of lettuce), but try to pick veggies with higher nutritional values - they have higher carbs, but also bettter nutrition. Also, given that 1/2 your daily carbs need to come from veggies, you can then have some cheese, eggs, etc. Also - you need the fibre. Trust me

Re: First Time doing Atkins
Welcome - Make sure you eat a variety of foods and vegetables and count all “net carbs”.
Plan your meals for a few days so you have everything in your home. Check Linda's recipe site - it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/menus.html.
Exercise, take a non-iron multivitamin and drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), daily. A journal is a great place to get everything out in the open, be accountable to yourself - you'll also meet some great people – you can start one here: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...journal-chats/.
If you need anything we’re here to help each other every step of the way! Good luck!

Re: First Time doing Atkins
I usually mix a cup of lettuce (leaf kind) with 2 cups of vegetables such as cucumber and green pepper or tomatoe. I do usually have 2 eggs in morning. I'm always confused how to count carbs for vegetables. I've been trying to track on fitday and it tells me everything is 0 even cheese. I count 1oz of cheese as 1g of carbs anyways but it's confusing! Lol! I must be doing something right because the weight seems to be coming off quickly.
