    JUST STARTING ATKINS

    I PREVIOUSLY LOST 110 LBS ON PROTEIN SPARING MODIFIED FAST PLAN.

    AFTER 3 YEARS I HAVE FOUND A GRADUAL WEIGHT GAIN OF 62 LBS. AAARG.

    I DO NOT WANT TO GO BACK TO WHERE I WAS SO I DECIDED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT WITH A WHOLE LOT OF DETERMINATION TO SUCCEED!!!!

        Hi and welcome! How's Induction going?

        Make sure your read the book (2002 version) and the many faqs here, they are great and really help you do this Way of Eating successfully.
        Start date: 2/22/04 347/222/135 ~ 5'2"
        STAC Restart: 1/05/09
        306/229/135 ~ 5'2" 77 lbs down!

        Goal #1: 247 - 2nd 10% (59lbs, 247, also 100 lbs total loss) - Met 1/4/10!!!
        Goal #2: 241 - Halfway to goal! (106 lbs lost) - Met 2/21/10!!!

        Goal #3: 222 - 3rd 10% - Lowest Atkins weight
        Goal #4: 210 - Still on track!
        Goal #5: 200/199 - 4th 10% - One-derland! End year goal!
        Female/Hypothyroidism/Arthritis/Fibromyalgia - If I can lose weight on this, so can you!

          Welcome to the board!

          Atkins will definitely be a better diet than any fast plan, and probably a lot easier to stick to also. Keep up posted on your progress.

              Check Linda's recipe site – wonderful recipes that will keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/menus.html. Drink a minimum of 64 ounces pure water daily (nothing added), exercise and take a multivitam without iron.

                      My Goal today is to drink at least 115 oz of water today.

                      I am really excited that I have lost 3 pounds since I started. I know it will eventually slow down but for now I just want to get under 200 pouds again.

                          Doing well, had a little cheat when my husband took me out for valentines dinner Friday night. Just more determined to succeed. I am glad that I am still seeing progress. I found it pretty easy to continue the diet on Saturday morning.


                          I am looking foward to being under 200 again. Cheers to all who are seeing success and a word of encouragement to those who are struggling along. YOU CAN SUCCEED!! I am your friend and believe in you!!!

                              That is awesome. Sounds like you are back on track and doing well. One thing I can say is I don't get cranky on this plan LOL I never feel deprived or hungry, DH doesn't either so it's much better for family life around here
