Hello all
Started induction three days ago and have already lost three pounds. Although I love cooking, induction will be a challenge as it is so restrictive (don't want to eat eggs for breakfast every day!!!) hopefully this forum can help with some ideas. I am planning on staying with induction for 2 months so I don't get tempted into giving up if the pounds come off too slowly.
I'm mid 40s with 70 pounds to lose, until I had an an operation a couple of years ago that made my hormones go haywire I've never had to lose weight before and the pounds have just piled on. I've tried Weight Watchers but found it too clicquey and I was hungry ALL THE TIME and felt a total failure that I couldn't stick to the plan. I tried different classes in different areas and the online programme-waste of money.
Recently my OH had a customer he hadn't seen for a few weeks and when he turned up he was almost unrecognisable, he'd lost 3 stone on the Atkins diet and looked about 10 years younger, he also said he felt fantastic too. I had heard nothing but negatives about Atkins, it was unhealthy blah blah blah and anyone daft enough to do Atkins was going to die PDQ so I was very surprised. I did some research on the net, bought the book and had my eyes opened, I couldn't believe that there has been so much negative press around what is so sensible and logical.
So here I am with my trusty orange book and a fridge full of butter, cheese and steaks-yum-and looking forward to sharing tips and ideas with everyone here.

Hello, I had a hysterectomy 2 yrs. ago..ugh, hate that word for some reason... I never had a problem with my weight either untill that happen! I am new on here and hopefully we can help each other other sometimes... Water made my weight really come off... I am staying on the 1st phrase for 2 months as well
I need to start walking and I want to look good .but feel great with energy will be so wonderful... I eat the same stuff it seems.. I am not hungry much, except in the mornings... I love the atkins strawberry milkshakes! I usually like chocolate... but the strawberry taste the best if you get them icey...I add some icecubes to it and mix up in blender..that is yummy.
