Hi. I am 30 years old and 5'5/149lbs. My goal weight is 120lbs. I'm on the fourth day of induction and realized that I just messed up by taking Nyquil last night for this cold that I am fighting. I also think that I have been eating too many veggies from the second list and not enough on first list. Should I start over? I tested and was in moderat ketosis until this morning after I took Nyquil and am showing a small trace of ketosis. Please advise. Thanks!

Hi and welcome -- cut back the veggies on the 2nd list and concentrate on getting 2 cups of veggies from he 1st list everyday....and 1 cup from the second list.
You are only on day 4 so I wouldn't worry about the Nyquil. There are no degrees of keotsis, you are either in or you aren't in...the strips are really a waste of money because they aren't the most reliable test of keotsis.
Continue on with induction - make sure your drinking the minimum 64 ounces pure water - it will help with your cold and will help you flush out the toxins and nasties from your system.
Eat a variety of food everyday and don't forget to take a vitamin without iron

Thanks so much for the warm welcome to the sight. I love it so far. So much support and terrific feedback. I will take your advice on continuing on and not starting over. I was so shocked to find how many carbs are in one dose of Nyquil.
How do I know if I am ketosis if I do not rely on the strips? Are there physical symptoms that I might notice? I have been drinking my water and have been going to the restroom a lot. Not sure if that is one of the signs. I know that I am supposed to feel more energetic but hard to tell with this cold.

I think losing weight or/and inches is the only true test that this is working. Those sticks work well for some but not others for some reason.
I usually know I glide into ketosis when my appetite drops. Some people get a metallic taste in their mouth some do not.
Yes keep going. Take your measurements. Hope you are feeling better
