  • Long-time on low-carb but still learning

    Hi everyone!!!

I am on a low-carb diet since about 13 years. In the beginning, I did Montignac diet but the results were not so great. Then I did Heller's carb addict diet for 6 months and it was OK. But when I went on Atkins, I founded my way of eating.

The best results I got with Atkins was the control of my night eating: I suffer of NES (Night eating syndrome). But again, the best results came when I stopped all sweeteners. I have now lost the taste for sugar. No question here: I am a sugar addict

I recently began to read some posts on this site and I founded a lot of interesting stuff...

    Welcome to the Atkins board!!

It sounds like you know what you're doing so far -- just remember, plan your meals for a few days so you have everything legal in your home. Linda's recipe site is very helpful with delicious recipes - it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/menus.html.

Exercise, take a non-iron multivitamin and drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), daily. Many people find a journal a great place to get everything out in the open, be accountable to yourself and meeting great people – http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...journal-chats/.

If you need anything we’re here to help each other every step of the way! Good luck!

      Hello Carol!!!

Many thanks for your welcome. I do follow Linda's site since year... but, as I see, I really have to work on my daily water drinking...
